Theme of the event under the umbrella of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Vishwa Guru Bharat.
As part of celebration of 8th International Day of Yoga (IDY) under the umbrella of AmritMahotsav celebrations, Embassy of India, Lima organised the main event of IDY in Peru at the iconic Parque Reducto No. 2, in Miraflores, at Lima, Peru. The event was the main event among several events organised by the Embassy to celebrate the 8th International Day of Yoga in Peru. Including Dignitaries, Yoga enthusiasts, practitioners, experts, the event had a footfall of more than 350 participants. The Yoga professionals demonstrated the benefits of practicing Yoga and invited people to embrace Yoga for mental and physical wellbeing. The event upheld the spirit of Yoga for Humanity, which is the theme for the celebration of International Day of Yoga for 2022. The event also featured performances of Indian classical dance. Overall, the event gained a lot of traction among locals and helped in raising of awareness about Yoga.
